Virginia Mechanical Preservation Society’s Victoria Station in gorgeous Goshen, Virginia has been purpose built as a major destination for steam rail tourism. This private siding offers rail access for scenic excursions through Virginia’s breathtaking Shenandoah Valley and is located just a short drive from the beautiful cities of Lexington and Staunton.
Directions
From Staunton: Take I-81 Exit 220 onto VA 262 West. Continue for 4.5 miles and then take the Parkersburg Tpke/VA 254 Exit. Turn Left and continue on Parkersburg Tpke/VA 254 for 28 miles into the Town of Goshen. Turn Left onto Main Street/Maury River Road and continue for 3/4 mile. Turn Left onto Victoria Lane. Follow Victoria Lane across the railroad tracks and all the way into the parking lot for Victoria Station.
From Lexington: Take North Main Street/US 11 North and turn Left onto I-64 West. Continue for 12.5 miles and take Exit 43 for Goshen. Turn Right onto Scenic Dr toward VA-850/VA-780. Go for 0.3 mi. Turn Left onto W Midland Trl (US-60) toward VA-850 W/VA-780. Go for 0.8 mi. Turn sharp Right onto Brattons Run toward Goshen & Little/North Mountain. Go for 8.4 mi. Continue on Maury River Rd (VA-39 W) toward Goshen for approximately 0.4 mi. Turn Right onto Victoria Lane. Follow Victoria Lane across the railroad tracks and all the way into the parking lot for Victoria Station.
